Imagine That

Promotional Materials for a local art exhibit

CHALLENGE

This assignment required students to visit and research a local art exhibition and develop promotional design materials inspired by the experience. While in Virginia Beach, I attended a multi-artist exhibition titled Imagine That, which featured a range of imaginative, abstract, and mysterious works. The challenge was to translate the spirit of the exhibition into a cohesive visual identity and promotional campaign. Deliverables included a website and an outdoor poster designed to capture the exhibit’s sense of curiosity, creativity, and wonder while encouraging viewers to engage with the artwork.

APPROACH

My approach focused on reflecting the playful unpredictability of the exhibition. I used expressive visual elements and dynamic layouts to evoke curiosity and imagination. The design embraces abstract forms and bold composition to mirror the mysterious and unconventional nature of the artwork featured in the show. The website and poster
were developed to feel visually engaging and exploratory, encouraging viewers to question, interpret, and discover meaning within the unexpected.
